We are here to gently – but excitingly – upgrade that vision. Picture instead: relaxing under the open sky, bathed in stunning visuals and dreamy musical textures, all while lounging comfortably on a beanbag. Welcome to Echoes Under the Stars.

What is it?

On Sunday 23 March, we’re swapping our usual cinema plans for one night of captivating live electronic music and immersive visual projections. The rooftop will transform into a unique musical playground where electronic soundscapes blend seamlessly with dynamic visuals to create a truly magical sensory experience.

No film screenings, no scripts, just some creative musicians crafting atmospheric sounds beneath a canvas of stars and city lights 🌃

The Local Artists Elevating Your Sunday Evening

Here's who's bringing the good vibes and dreamy sounds:

Erasers: Perth’s sonic duo who spin hauntingly vast ambient textures. Synths hum like meditation gurus; vocals drift by like mist.

PTMC: Midnight Elevator’s co-founder will present a unique, never-before-heard live set that blends warm analogue textures with subtle beats. If synthesizers could hug, this set would feel like one.

Lia T: A talented producer, DJ, and radio host, Lia will skilfully blur the lines between live performance and DJ set, creating comforting and warm soundscapes.

SATELLITES: Ever wondered what a cloud thinks? Matthew apparently does. By intercepting signals from orbiting weather satellites, he turns forecasts into brooding drone/doom ambient music.

Each performance will be paired with live visuals projected onto the big screen, courtesy of artists Francis Follis (PARITY CHECK), SIMULACRA, MIRAGE CABAL, and Polite Society. It’s visual storytelling designed specifically for this event, adding a touch of cinematic wonder to your evening.
